The Minutes of the Parish meeting held on the 13th March 2013 stated that the Parish Council :-

“Resolved: That Cheshire East Highways be informed that, whilst the Parish Council supports a reduction of the speed limit, it is of the opinion that 40 mph all the way through from the Red Fox Inn, Tarporley, to the end of the existing speed limit to the South of Spurstow would be more appropriate as it is felt that more drivers would be inclined to keep to a 40 mph limit rather than a 30 mph limit.”
